Jaxon Lawrence Leasure Memorial Scholarship Fund

Jaxon was on a mission.

He was training to become a US Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer.

He'd graduated high school early.

His USCG paperwork had been approved. He was getting scheduled for bootcamp.

He was a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Maragaret Maddox YMCA

where he found real community

with the people he worked with and the members who walked through the doors each day.

We are so grateful for his YMCA family.

In the spirit of all that Jaxon represented, there is a now a Jaxon Lawrence Leasure Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide swim lessons and life guard training to the youth of Nashville.

From the YMCA:
Jaxon Leasure brought his light to the Aquatics program at the Margaret Maddox YMCA through his work as a lifeguard and by his special presence. To honor the memory of Jax, a fund has been set-up to support swim lessons and future lifeguard training at the East Y – with a focus on equipping underserved youth to participate. Our goal is to reach or even surpass $10,000 to set this fund up as a lasting endowment.
